Enabling Two-Factor Authentication
We are passionate about the security of your services on our network. As part of our ongoing focus in this area, we advised last year that we will implement two-factor authentication which will roll out early next week.
Other key changes are;
An update to our password protocols to conform to global standards. Each password must contain a minimum of 7 characters with at least 3 of the following: capital letter, lowercase letter, numeric digit, special character.
SIP passwords are no longer shown in the portal. You will instead be presented with a button that will email your account with the SIP username.
You will reset SIP passwords the same way with a button that will send you a reset link.
What does this mean for you?
Very shortly, when you log into our Vumeda portal (vumeda.devoli.com) you will be prompted to enable 2 factor authentication. There are many ways you can complete this, however we recommend an application called ‘Authy’ which is available to download in most app stores.
As well, if your current password is not of the required strength you will need to step through the password reset process.
Attacks are more and more common today and we want to ensure we are proactive in protecting your services. We apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause - however we are determined to take a front foot approach to delivering world class security.
Regards, Team Devoli
